I heard (through footsteps) wraiths go straight through a wall into another room. Other types of ghosts can walk away from their room into another room which can seem like they entered that room through a wall when in reality they just took the corridor. I base this on hearing the ghost footsteps. I am pretty sure only wraiths can walk through walls. I have seen them many times get stuck on objects.

However, I do admit it was on a camera, so I can't confirm 100% it walked through the chairs due to the camera angle, but it sure looked like it. This was before we knew it was a wraith and my first thought was, "Wow that must be a wraith, it walked right through all those chairs." And it turned out I was correct. In fact, one time I was watching one on a camera and it looked like it was walking through several rows of chairs in the lecture room at the highschool. That said, I don't entirely rule out that they can some times go through walls or objects. Yeah, wraiths definitely can't see through walls or doors.
